Looks like something is missing. Please fix any issues and try again. Item location

I'm trying to post a listing and am getting this error message:

"Looks like something is missing. Please fix any issues and try again.

Item location"

It looks like something in the seller settings thinks I am based in the USA but I can't see how or where to change it. I've checked my general account settings and it clearly shows I am located in the UK.

Anyone have any issues like this? I've never had this issue before. I did used to live in the USA about 15 years ago but I changed all of my account settings.

I've tried contacting the support but all I get is "thanks for being a member for 23 years and we'll look into that for you".

Your current items for sale show your location as Southend & are on the .co.uk site so worth a shot to try 'sell similar' & edit the listing with the new info to see if this works.

This is an ongoing problem......

My screen keeps changing from Uk site to USA and I have even been greeted with G'Day when I was changed to Australia.  You may also find your prices have been changed to dollars and times of the day changed to Pacific Time.

I've just tried listing another item and had the exact same issue again.

While my items show as being sold from my correct town and post code, for some reason the country defaults to the united states. Problem is you can only see the country by going into eBay and using a desktop browser.

On my phone when I get the item location error message it only brings up a box with the postcode, not the country field which is clearly the issue.

The selling experience on eBay is officially awful if you have any sort of account corruption. They can't help you.

You are not alon as others have had the same issue,  but try this it has helped some.

Preferably using a PC / laptop and use Chrome, click on any of your listings,  and click on ' see details' opposite postage.

The 2 boxes at the top should show your country / region postcode.  Even if they are correct, try clicking on the blue ' Update' button.

The problem might keep coming back,  but keep trying the above,  and it should return to normal.

Hope it helps.

It does keep recurring but not for all listings. It's seriously annoying.

No I keep getting the issue on my listings. Anything I put up some of the location settings default to Elizabeth New Jersey.

I've checked every part of my account settings for any sort of mismatch and can't find any problems.

I think then access to your account is needed here,  which we do not have so you'll need to contact eBay Customer Services their lines open in a few minutes at 8 a.m. I recommend contacting CS then, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

If they do come up with a workaround or resolution please do come back and tell us,  as it may help us to help others if they come across the same issue.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

 https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

As said, I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

I've done that. Frankly, they've been utterly useless.

Who did you speak to?  It does depend a lot,  on which Customer Service agent answers you.  Dublin answers first thing when lines open.

Lines opened 10 minutes ago worth another shot asking now.

'' ... . I did used to live in the USA about 15 years ago ... ''

Suggestion > that the 2001 Registration was initially recorded in the USA .com site and despite any changes since made to UK locations etc. the Registration Default will remain in USA.   May need to open a new UK Registered account as the problem will persist if any Default remnants of USA residence/registration remain.

It is no longer possible to transfer Original account registration or history between eBay sites.

Have you opened a UK Registered account ? --- which will  need updating  using these links before listing/selling >

And try adding a UK Bank Card # to your Managed Payments setup in order to send and receive  payments ?
