I actually posted this complaint on 19/02/2025 but it seems to have disappeared. Is Ebay trying to restrict freedom of speech and apply CENSORSHIP? Anyway, to the point. When I checked my listings yesterday, I found my headline prices for all my listings had increased by £2 / £3 / £4.00+ which appears to be as a result of this new Buyer Protection Scheme, making selling prices non -competitive. To bring prices back into competitive terms, sellers will have to reduce their selling prices which means sacrificing the values of what they are selling. This policy will definitely negatively impact on sales and it seems from other postings sellers are already feeling the effects of their sales "FALLING OFF A CLIFF". In addition, previously as a seller, you received full payment almost immediately a Tracking No was registered on the Ebay platform. I use Royal Mail 48 Hour Tracked which not only tracks my deliveries but it also provides my Buyers with an automatic £ 150.00 Insurance Cover but you can increase the insurance cover if necessary at an additional cost. So why do Buyers need to pay for a Buyer Protection Scheme? Totally un-necessary! Now we, the Sellers do not get paid until at least 2 days after delivery. This means Ebay is sitting on / holding our money for at least 4 days longer than previously. Globally this will amount to MILLIONS OF POUNDS EVERY DAY. If they deposit all of this money on short term Bank Deposits they will be raking in a fortune at our expense! On short term Bank Deposits of £1 MILLION POUNDS they will earn £975.00 every day so holding our money for 4 days longer means they will earn just short of £4,000 for every £1 Million deposited for doing absolutely nothing. Ebay are frankly taking us all - Buyers & Sellers for MUGS. Is it time for an organised boycott of Ebay? But who would the Ebay Community suggest to use as an alternative? I look forward to the Community's response.

I've been seeing alot of people mentioning ebid, Vinted and marketplace.
Never used any of them myself but I have taken a quick look at ebid.
The payment side of things looks very fair, but I don't know how busy it is.
