I've just listed an item and subsequently realised that it was in the wrong category. When I changed the category, all the Item Specifics disappeared and now have to be re-entered. 😠
Is this a glitch that can be notified and rectified, or is it yet another of ebay's ways of making it so annoying and difficult to sell anything on here?

It's not a glitch. It always happens if you change the category and you have to start again.

Thanks cobwebcottage, but there's been a development. So I entered all the Item Specifics again (not happy at having to do that), but then I discovered that having changed the category, it had switched to Simple Delivery. I'm so hacked off that I deleted the listing and told ebay what I thought of them, just in case they didn't know. I'd been planning to list several items but it's just not worth the effort, and frankly, ebay don't deserve it.
(sorry if I sound cross, I'll get over it but at the moment, I AM cross!)

Yes, I seem to recall that sinking feeling of losing all the specs when deciding to change a category, like 'boots' to 'trainers'. I suppose there will very likely be different specifics for different categories, so you have to start from scratch...

"The sun is shining and it's Valentines Day!"
And it's about time ebay showed us some love! 🤣

I am glad they do! So easy to miss an item specific that is incorrect and carry it over from a different listing.
Might even land one in a bit of hot boiling water if buyer finds it and uses it against you, cos you missed it.
And it also might bite some sellers in the proverbial when they copy your item specifics but it doesn't match their listing🤣 That'll learn 'em to copy someone else's work!
