I had a buyer telling me eBay has refused payment from them. Is the system down?

Hi daro2096, thanks for your post.
Normally, eBay wouldn't refuse a payment for a purchase. If the payment didn't go through, it probably was something related to the payment method. However, for further assistance, you can tell the buyer to contact us directly, so we can take a proper look for them.
Thank you,
Marco

Don't think there is a general Ebay problem; I've just sold something and been paid.

@humandxp Do you have a PayPal account linked to your eBay account? If so see whether you can pay via PayPal by linking the card that eBay will not accept to PayPal. If it'll work that way then you can purchase items from sellers on eBay again. If, however, it doesn't work for some reason then if you have a different card that you could use try linking the second one to your PayPal account. Alternatively you could just transfer some money out of your bank or building society account into your PayPal account and purchase items being advertised for sale on eBay by using your PayPal balance to finance the payment.

ok my card was blocked due klarna on tuesday, but lloyds bank is so amazing that gives you zero message about blocking your card, next system is so designed that it still asks you is that you doing that purchase?
and then asks for 6 numbers pin sent to phone to confirm transaction, had to call fraud team at bank and send selfie with passport. they said 10 minutes it will be unlocked, i am back from town 1h later and still cant add card to ebay again. but looks like on amazon 2 times rejected payment now went thru.
will try with ebay later. why they ask me for pin to accept transaction if card is already blocked for online payments. if that will not go away i make complain about bank. cos they need to fix that stupidity. where is logic in that
