So Simple Delivery has been enforced on some of my listings this morning. "Simple" in terms of brainless. At the moment, there is the option to change things back but I don't know if that will last. Some fool decided you could pack a glass sugar & creamer for <1kg & a set of 5 heavy glass bowls for <2kg. That person has absolutely no idea of how much packaging is required to protect glass from carriers (there is no coverage for breakage) or how much glass weighs in the first place.
Not only that, but the available options skip from 2kg to 15kg with nothing inbetween! No 2-5kg option for EVRI which is LESS than eBay's EVRI 15kg default. So simple it is ludicrous & all to give eBay another way to make money &, presumably, get rid of private sellers. That doesn't even approach the problem of size limits: for a collection of heavy glass or a vintage field radio, their max length is 67cm - not enough room for padding or double-boxing. EVRI's max length is 1m. This ill-conceived scheme feels like being stabbed by a mugger.

Has that ever happened to you?
Pretty sure that anyone who has experienced anything like that would rather have to worry about how to ship an eBay sale out.
There really isn't much you can do here, if it was me selling off a big collection of glass pieces I'd probably upgrade to a business account and not then have to use Simple Delivery or have the buyers fee added to my listings. I can't see another workaround in the current scenario. Or maybe put your listings on Time Away for a bit and see if anything changes on the delivery front, I would imagine that eBay will need to make a few adjustments.

For items over medium parcel dimensions for RM or Evri’s max too, custom postage option will remain
you can then pick whatever carrier and service you like , postage cost, etc
the click for custom postage link is at the bottom of the size/weight page
