I'd rather have had the Buyer's 4% as Seller's fees instead!

The new Buyer's duplicated 'Protection' is basically a tax on the Seller. It's so unweildy having two different costs of an item on eBay. I would prefer to be in complete control of my pricing and if eBay needed the extra money (joke) then I'd have reluctantly accepted fees again.

Anyone feel the same?

Said the same, you knew where you stood and adapted accordingly, then the joke of waiting 14 days for your own monies leaving YOU out of pocket.

Yes, given the choice, I think most private sellers would have preferred to revert to a listing & seller fee system, rather than this BPF.  It is a very greedy, off-putting price rise, especially for low value items.

Sellers now have to decide whether to adjust prices to allow for the BPF, which is time-consuming - or put up with 'odd' looking prices, which are confusing to buyers.

That is if its sent without tracking if tracked 2 days later. That s quicker than any other platform.

If not tracked or scanned yes 14 days beyond the last expected delivery date.

It can be longer if you account has a hold on it like being a new seller account started again after some time there are more but these seem to be the most common.

Totally agree.  What eBay has recently done is ludicrous.  However, I have the feeling they wouldn’t admit their mistake.   Oh, for the good times !!

I think it's cos when you look at your item in My Ebay (or whatever it is these days) you get the start bid you've listed, yet when looking at the listing itself you've got it with the 4% +75p.

If that's what they mean by costs.

Say you price an item at £7.40 - this is the cost you will see on your selling page and what you wil be paid. However, any prospective Buyer will see it priced at £8.42. They automatically see the surcharge of 4% + 75p on top of your price. It's a crazy situation!

I'm really hoping that after a decent interval they'll backtrack and set it up my way - ever optimistic 🙂
