Feedback and original listing removed?

Just received some models I bought yesterday.

My normal process is to go to my Purchases, select the orders and then compare what I've received against what was shown in the photos.

I can't do that now. The listings have already been removed.

Clicked feedback to see what happened and that leads to a blue banner saying

"Unfortunately, this purchase is no longer eligible for Feedback. Review other transactions instead."

I am really not happy with this, especially having my ability to compare what I received against the listing photos & I would like some answers please.

Feedback and original listing removed?

Amendment, 2 of the 3 orders have been removed. I can still check the third listing.

Feedback and original listing removed?

I don't think this can be a glitch.

All 3 purchases were from the same seller.

It looks like they all arrived today in the same envelope but I'm not certain as I have no access to 2 of the original listings or their photos.

It looks like they have been completely removed from the servers, similar to what happens with old purchases.

Problem, I bought these yesterday.

I already left feedback for the one I could compare and I've sent the seller a message asking if they could send me the listing photos via message and explained why. Also told them I was asking here.

Without comparison proof how do I/anyone know if what we receive is exactly what we bought and that potentially leads to not as described claims which appear in this situation to be eBay's fault.

Unless sellers now have a way to completely remove sold listings from records that is.

Feedback and original listing removed?

Listings only usually get removed if Ebay remove them for rules being broken.

Feedback and original listing removed?

So they removed them from the server after I bought them?

& if you go back 6 months or so in your purchase history you'll probably see that they've removed those from the server too.

That's the exact result I'm getting on these 2 orders from yesterday.

The seller did send me listing photos via message so I could compare and everything was fine that way.

But eBay removing listings so I cannot compare what I received against what I bought is not remotely acceptable.

Feedback and original listing removed?

If items are reported, they will remove them even if already sold which is a bit pointless. Glad to hear your items were fine anyway.

Feedback and original listing removed?

So they removed them for a report, suggesting some kind of copyright infringement but allow the sale to proceed and take and keep all the fees they earnt from said transactions?

Is that what you're saying?

Because that makes them an active participant in fraud.

If they suspect something is not allowed, remove them due to that and then don't inform the buyer they aren't just an unlucky bystander. They've chosen not to inform me.

Ooh, now this has me growling.

Feedback and original listing removed?

I noticed this earlier this morning. Sometimes I look at previous sales from other sellers, just out of interest. I looked on a recent sale and it just said the item was sold and didn't let me look at the listing.

Feedback and original listing removed?

The 2 I am referring to look like they are gone from the server.

I checked my other recent purchases and so far, they are all still there.

But I am not happy.

They ask us to use photos and descriptions etc to show the exact items we are selling.

Then they removed them after they're already purchased ..

No way is that right and considering how many of their systems go against original listings it's almost like they've removed my right to claim as I now have nothing to compare against.
