Evri postage - doesn't seem to support large parcels?

I've got a light parcel (3kg) that is 81 x 30 x 30 cm, so well within Evri's capability to post (usually £6.49), but for some reason I can't get at this option via EBay?

Is this size parcel blocked from 'Simple Delivery' via Evri?

Thanks for any help!

Stuart

(I'm starting to find EBay increasingly unfriendly to use...)

It's best not to choose anything and just use whatever e-Bay recommends.  If it's wrong they'll still honour the price.  If you over-rule it and make a mistake you are liable for any under-payment plus a pound.  If they estimate it too low, why change it and make your item more expensive and less likely to sell?

From https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/postage/simple-delivery?targetgroup=C2C: If you use the recommended parcel size and your item exceeds the maximum size and weight of the label, you won’t be charged any additional costs. Just go ahead and use the Simple Delivery postage label. The courier will accept your package providing it remains within the maximum weight and dimensions for the service.

Your parcel is "within the maximum weight and dimensions for the service" if that service is Evri.  Just make sure Royal Mail is switched off as you can't send it with them.

You can send it via Simple Delivery.  Just accept the Recommended size and all will be well, though it would be as well to switch Royal Mail off just to ensure you don't get one of their labels as it's too big for them.

To check for yourself see: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/simple-delivery?id=5575#se... and the FAQs on the page when you get the label.

Evri postage - doesn't seem to support large parcels?

Thanks for your help, but the dimensions offered when setting up postage, shown attached, exclude the option to choose Evri for anything over 61 x 46 x 46 cm, above that, it looks like I need to choose 'Bulky Parcel' (i.e. DHL).

I guess I could choose 'Medium Parcel' (10kg) and hope for the best?

Minor observation, as to EBay's calculation of 'Volume', they really need to check their maths!

> No side exceeds 120cm in length, the volume is no more than 245cm. (To calculate the volume, add together the two shortest sides and multiply it by two, and then add the length)
Assuming we've got sides Width(W), Breadth(B) & Length(L), they are suggesting:
EBay volume = (W+B) x 2 + L

Whereas most school children would know volume = W x B x L.
(I'm aware Evri use that calculation for maximum parcel size, but it's certainly not volume!).

This is an interesting one because of course, you can't really yourself click medium parcel because it's over the maximum size specified, but as thepillenwerfer says it is within the maximum size allowable for Evri under Simple Delivery

For an Evri parcel shop drop-off – up to 15kg, no side exceeding 120 cm in length and a volume no more than 245 cm. To calculate the volume, just add together the two shortest sides and multiply it by two. Then add the length.

On the other hand if you click bulky parcel which would be correct you would get a DHL collection instead.

So crazy as it seems the best bet as described above is to let ebay themselves choose the wrong size, don't touch it and assume that the Evri shop will accept it.

Of course it is also very unfortunate that in order to make this work you have to turn off Royal Mail for all of your items, hopefully they will sort Simple Delivery out eventually to allow per item opt in / out of couriers.

As you say at present the system is not very user friendly, there are various edge cases like this that have users tied in knots, having to contact customer services or post on the forums to do things that would previously have been very straightforward.
