Hi. I have a GSP customer who wants to buy several items from me. But when he goes to checkout, he is being charged for separate shipments. When he checks the box to ask for combined shipping, he gets a message to say I don't have combined shipping turned on. But I do.
As usual, ebay's advice on how to combine orders into one delivery, are as clear as mud. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I'm sorry but you cannot combine shipping on GSP items.
GSP orders cannot be combined to protect the seller against a false claim for item not received, and also for the necessary custom declaration needed per item.
It's a good protection for sellers.

List all the items to be combined as a single buy it now !!!!!

I think this buyer has already bought the items because it's taking them to checkout.

bundled and job lots have no problem listed as single purchase with GSP

Cancel the sales and combine the original sales in one listing
Give the buyer the link to the listing

The problem is that if you bundle the items into one listing and one item isn't as described or arrives damaged - you will be forced to refund the whole lot, including postage. You have no idea if the buyer has pulled that scam before - as sellers can't leave a neg in the feedback..

Damage AND customs are the sole responsibilty of GSP
once accepted at their hub.
if your paranoid about returns and scams ,best not use GSP or even ebay at all ,
were speaking from experience
combining in one listing for GSP has worked well for us multiple times

The only way to combine Buy It Now listings for Global Shipping is for the buyer adds the items to their basket and then, if they're all in the same catgeory, it should automatically combine the order. They shouldn't need to ask for a total.
Is this what they're doing and it's not combining?

I thought that only combined the global leg postage not the domestic?

Ok for the avoidance of doubt
heres how it goes ,
buyer bids or buys more than one item ,
When checking out GSPcharges postage on each item ,buyers often either ask for combined shipping or cancelation.
seller contacts buyer snd explains the work around process, if the buyer oks the work around
seller cancels quoting problem with buyers address or buyer request ,
then lists a one off single buy it now
that totals the combined cost of the cancelled items,

adding to the advice already givden -
Global combined postage =
The buyer can obtain combined postage by placing the items in the basket before proceeding to checkout.
https://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/private/global-shipping-programme
At this time, seller-specified combined postage discounts aren’t supported by the Global Shipping Programme. However, a combined postage discount for the international leg of the delivery will automatically be applied during checkout when the buyer places all items in their shopping basket prior to making a purchase.
