Click and collect

Hi all,

I'm trying to work out if there's an easy way to add click and collect to all of my eBay items.

I have a few that already have that option for buyers, but can't see how I manged to enable it when creating the listing?

I watched a video online from eBay but it looks like it's from a US site and the site preference page looks completely different to mine.

Thanks in advance of any help.

Justin

Re: Click and collect

On your Ebay page in the top left corner click on the down arrow next to your name. then click on account settings. Click on postage preferences and then you should see a bit that says delivery service, underneath this will be Click and Collect. If next to Click and Collect it doesn't say Enrolled you need to click on edit and turn it on. If it does already say enrolled you may have to go in and edit the individual listings that don't already have click and collect as an option.

Re: Click and collect

Thanks for your reply.

Already enrolled, can't say I'm keen on manually going through 700 off listings though.

Any idea how/why some of my listings already show click and collect?

Thanks

Re: Click and collect

I can't see any reason why some of your items have click and collect and others don't.

The only thing I can think of is maybe on the items that have click and collect enabled when you listed the item you put in the size and weight of the package. I say this because a lot of the click and collect stores are only small corner shops and the system might only allow items that have the size inputted so they can work out if a store is suitable to accept the package. Though I'm only guessing here I don't know if that is how the click and collect system is set up.

Re: Click and collect

I think it's the category you are listing in (Garden Gates) is excluded from C&C

example:

Your listing 124863953090 has C&C and is listed in Garden Gate Parts

Your listing 124755654179 does not have C&C is listed in Garden Gates

Re: Click and collect

I didn't even think to look at what category the OPs items were listed in, I think you could be right.

Re: Click and collect

Many thanks for all your replies, looks like I've got to spend some time editing most of my listings to comply with click and collect.

Re: Click and collect

Is there no option to bulk edit them.  I only have a private seller account, but if I click on a couple of the tick boxes, left of the listings I can bulk edit certain things.

I would image that a business seller would have more options so maybe worth a look.

Also, the help page linked below seems to suggest that certain items are added automatically with C&C:

How to use Click & Collect

We'll automatically offer Click & Collect on your listings if:

  • The cost of your item is at least £5
  • You're offering a quick dispatch time (0-3 days is ideal)
  • Your item weighs no more than 15kg (including packaging) and no one side of the parcel exceeds 90cm, with max dimensions of 0.324 cubic metres. (Any items that are too large or exceed the weight limit will be rejected on arrival at the Click & Collect location and may be disposed of, without reimbursement)
  • Your item isn't classified as dangerous or age-restricted
