Buyer must have chosen wrong postage label on simple delivery

I just sold a pair of badminton rackets but the buyer chose & paid for Yodel (whom I never use so I'm not familiar with their parcel sizes) so I printed out the label but when I got it to the shop who takes Yodel they said the parcel was too long & refused to take it. They told me I could phone Yodel which I cannot do as it was bought off  ebay. I cannot buy the postage on Parcel2go separately (which I use normaly) because the buyer already paid postage & the item price is less than postage. It's also no good canceling the order then relisting because it will happen again. what can I do because ebay CS is that wretched AI ?

That listings wasn't Simple Delivery (and Yodel isn't one of the couriers for Simple Delivery either) so it would have somehow been the postage option setup when listing?

In either case - as it wasn't simple delivery, you should have received in your funds the value of the order, and then the amount for postage. Which was £2.99 + £4.30 for the postage

You could cancel the Yodel label and just buy your own postage with that £4.30 you received.

Just to add to the excellent advice you have already been given as you purchased the postage through eBay via Packlink, who are a postage broker, then you need to submit a claim with Packlink rather than the actual carrier for the original label:

https://support-ebay.packlink.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360014270619-EasyTicket

You will need your reference number which you can find here:
