Hi,
Do you experience harassment, abuse, violent messages, good luck with the sale comments the list is endless.. Only one potential buyer harassing you for the item with a low ball offer?
Britauctions.com your friendly shopping destination. What about ebay? Hang on a minute this affiliate is mimicking ebay for his own personal pleasure.. having complete access to the ebay product database!
Ever wondered why you don't sell on ebay? And it seems that all you are doing is 'advertising'?
Private, business or charities advertising through ebay should check out britauctions.com to see if their listings appear on this website.
Affiliates are in control!
Is this the latest trend to farm out items for select buyers?
A targeted scam?..
Apparently this affiliate 'finds a buyer' and has a contract through ebay where he is paid a paypal commission if a click through his site on one of your listings amounts to a sale.
You can't shake this website off because I have tried. I have had to shut down accounts in the past to create a new ebay account, yet not even a week old and affiliates are snapping at the heels of my listings...
Relisting doesn't make a difference.
Putting the same item on a new account doesn't stop the cycle.
Using a blank image seems to do something to stop the affiliate.
Don't be so sure that your listings are being made visible to the public which will account to no sales.
Affiliates should not be messaging and saying good luck with your sales.
I would love ebay management to explain the benefits of the EPN (ebay partner network)
Is it all about the images for marketing purposes and the affiliates are selling off your images is that where the money is? An interesting subject! The affiliate is given the control not ebay...
The affiliate finds a buyer, what about the public or is it hidden on the public server?..
I welcome everyone's thoughts on this issue!

Did you read the information on the link that explains how and why eBay give commission to affiliates for driving traffic to YOUR listings at no cost to you?

eBay employees have a blue box around their posts so they can be easily seen
I am just an ordinary eBay member, like everyone else on this thread
You're being silly which is why everyone has lost patience I'm afraid

The eyeballs are onto this scam!
I am exposing what is going on!
Like I said britauctions.com is not known to the PUBLIC so please explain how they can bring 'traffic' for sellers here on ebay!!

"I am just an ordinary eBay member"
Then maybe it is YOU who needs to seek help!

Yes, I think you're right, they are just trolling or using a ploy to advertise the britauctions website. They have certainly publicised it a lot on these boards, so the website owner should get a bit more in commission from associated sales of items people spotted when going to look at the site as recommended by the dragon poster.
The only person who benefits from this thread is the owner of britauctions
"There is no such thing as bad publicity" and "Follow the money"
Clever game dragon, well played

No its just the truth not trolling!!
Why would someone create a website to earn pennies??
Why would Ebay dish out contracts for affiliates to earn pennies??
Something else is going on here and we are getting to the bottom of it now!!
Britauctions.com your friendly shopping destination!
It is not publicly known!!

You've given it lots of publicity though, well done
Britauctions will make extra commission now as you instructed so many people to view the website 😉

If you were to receive legal advice here it would be unlikely to have any standing in law.
Unofficially, you have not suffered any loss that I can think of so there does not seem to be a case to answer.
You could try seeking advice from a qualified practitioner, or perhaps Citizens Advice.
06-12-2024 4:49 PM
Why would a buyer go on britauctions.com instead of ebay??
06-12-2024 4:54 PM
An extra penny?
Sellers are unaware that their listings are being made visible on OFF SITE PRIVATE WEBSITES..
Where is this traffic? Because it is not directed through ebay itself but OFF SITE for PRIVATE CLIENTELE!!
06-12-2024 4:56 PM
I am self employed so it does affect me and I do have a legal standing!!
06-12-2024 4:59 PM
That was never five minutes
06-12-2024 5:00 PM
Why are you messaging in riddles??
If you have nothing decent to say then don't reply!

Your post no.58 shows that you have made no effort at all to understand the situation.
No transactions occur outside eBay. Your listings have not been hijacked. All sales still happen within eBay, and you still receive payment in full.
I am coming round to there being three possibilities with regard to this thread:
1) You are somehow involved with britauctions.com, and you have known all along that the thread would play out like this, giving that site plenty of exposure it would otherwise not have;
2) It's just a complete wind-up thread, from your first post to your last;
3) If you are genuine, then you really should get help - either legal advice (if you insist), or some other sort of professional help. This is not normal behaviour.
