Hi,
Do you experience harassment, abuse, violent messages, good luck with the sale comments the list is endless.. Only one potential buyer harassing you for the item with a low ball offer?
Britauctions.com your friendly shopping destination. What about ebay? Hang on a minute this affiliate is mimicking ebay for his own personal pleasure.. having complete access to the ebay product database!
Ever wondered why you don't sell on ebay? And it seems that all you are doing is 'advertising'?
Private, business or charities advertising through ebay should check out britauctions.com to see if their listings appear on this website.
Affiliates are in control!
Is this the latest trend to farm out items for select buyers?
A targeted scam?..
Apparently this affiliate 'finds a buyer' and has a contract through ebay where he is paid a paypal commission if a click through his site on one of your listings amounts to a sale.
You can't shake this website off because I have tried. I have had to shut down accounts in the past to create a new ebay account, yet not even a week old and affiliates are snapping at the heels of my listings...
Relisting doesn't make a difference.
Putting the same item on a new account doesn't stop the cycle.
Using a blank image seems to do something to stop the affiliate.
Don't be so sure that your listings are being made visible to the public which will account to no sales.
Affiliates should not be messaging and saying good luck with your sales.
I would love ebay management to explain the benefits of the EPN (ebay partner network)
Is it all about the images for marketing purposes and the affiliates are selling off your images is that where the money is? An interesting subject! The affiliate is given the control not ebay...
The affiliate finds a buyer, what about the public or is it hidden on the public server?..
I welcome everyone's thoughts on this issue!

Trying to get a genuine and honest response is like banging one's head against a brick wall!
If ebay was working correctly they wouldn't need affiliates and they would be surplus to requirements because they bring nothing to the table, especially this one britauctions.com when they are not publicly known! But they are now!
I didn't get the memo that my listings and other sellers items are placed on a 'off site' website for selective clientele and not made visible to the general public!!
How do they select their buyers when the website is not out to the world but to a 'selective client base'?
Personally I would prefer the commission to go to a charity of my choosing not through affiliates to fill their pockets by selecting certain clientele.
There are no benefits whatsoever.

You don't have a valid explanation!
The plot thickens!
Try listing on ebay the next time you grab a bottle...
You might understand where genuine sellers are coming from!
Why can't the affiliate be shaken off and what purpose does the britauctions.com website have?
Who is the client base and how are these listings selected?
Why would you visit britauctions.com in the first place....??
You seem to be the only seller complaining about this.
No member will be able to answer your questions, save how as a potential buyer you might end up there.
But really, why are you so bothered? After all it's just another route to an ebay listing.
04-12-2024 7:28 PM
Because I am the only seller that knows about it but not now because the cat is out of the bag!
Why am I so bothered?
Maybe because as a seller I have done all the hard work like others and I would have never have known but through luck of fate I stumbled upon britauctions.com and discovered that ebay have contracts with affiliates but do not disclose this information to sellers!
The affiliate told me that he finds a buyer....he didn't say buyers!!
And if that buyer doesn't want to pay you don't sell and they will bully harass and torment you unknown to the seller that their listings are running through an 'off site' website!
Who is looking at the listings on britauctions.com because it is certainly not the public!

eBay has never hidden the fact that they use affiliates.
If you're really so unhappy, the best thing for you to do would be to end all your listings, if you have any, and leave eBay as soon as possible. You obviously don't trust the company, so why would you remain?

I am letting other sellers know what is going on because this could be the reason why us sellers are targeted and the lack of sales proves it. Also who are you to tell me what to do? What is your position within ebay?..

You really don't understand this at all, do you?
If your listings are showing on an affiliate site, it increases your chances of making the sale, at no cost to you; you still receive the same amount from eBay for the sale.
I really can't work out how you can think this would have a negative affect on sales. If someone buys through an affiliate site, it's still a sale completed on eBay; believe me, sellers need all the help they can get at the moment.
Like everyone else who posts here (apart from eBay employees who always identify themselves), I am just a member responding to someone who posted a comment for discussion. We (me and every other poster on this thread) are trying to disavow you of some rather unfounded misconceptions you seem to have. Has it not occurred to you that NOBODY has agreed with you?
04-12-2024 7:58 PM
What a mouthful.
It is you who doesn't understand.
Britauctions.com is a website that is not publicly known!
These websites can be made private for specific clientele.
Maybe that is why sellers are not selling unless it is a specific item selected for a specific buyer!
The public here in the community don't get a say that is why nobody has sided with me.
I will give myself a Kudo because I am sure the public would chip in too!
04-12-2024 8:08 PM
I'm sorry, you're just posting unadulterated nonsense now.
If anybody agreed with you, they could have posted at any time; their posts would not have been removed.
The reason nobody has sided with you is that nobody agrees with you (for good reason).

The eyeballs say differently
They maybe silent but are all aware of the game that is being played!
If the public buyers and sellers were able to comment here on this topic there would be no room for your pointless comments!! Because you are not out to help but discredit.

I used to run a forum website a few years ago which was dedicated to a certain model of car, I set up eBay and Amazon affiliates so there would be a page on the forum where I would list items that I knew would interest the forum members, the members would view the item info and pics on my forum and then be redirected to Amazon or eBay to make a purchase,
I'd get paid a small fee for each purchase made, not a lot but whether it was 20p or £2 it helped with hosting costs.
I would assume the Brit Auctions site is doing the same thing but by covering lots of popular categories can earn a fair bit.
Anyone can set up a site like it, they are not implying to be eBay, one of the benefits is that it can be easier to find an eBay item on there than it is using the actual eBay search - more so over the last year as the eBay search has become a bit hit and miss.
Most sites are not publicly known when they start, with a few Facebook, Twitter, Insta or forum posts aimed at the right people they soon get a bit of traffic and grow from there.
Pick Click is very much the same thing as Brit Auctions, sites like them are handy and well worth a look,
They don't get any of the buyers data - all they do is direct the buyer to eBay.

Don't be mislead by the 'eyeballs' - every time a post is viewed it adds one to the total, even if it is the same person looking at it. I've looked at this one at least twenty times!

An ebay manager has told me today that it can't be stopped!
I wonder why?

You really ARE misunderstanding what it going on here
Your items remain listed on eBay
What you *think* is happening is not actually true or grounded in any sort of reality
Nobody has "stolen" your listing and put it on the website you mention
They simply link to it on another website that is open to everyone to view. If someone clicks their link it goes to your listing on eBay (that EVERYONE can see) and they get a couple of pence in commission. They get paid a few pence per click that leads to a sale on eBay. It's really simple.
Your illogical beliefs and accusations are making you sound unwell, I'm afraid. Do you have a family member you can ask for help?

I will post the link that explains the eBay affiliate system to you again
PLEASE read it this time, so you can understand what it happening

The reason that your items aren't selling is that they are much more expensive than the same items from other sellers
Eg
06-12-2024 4:07 PM
Sellers take these photos for listings to be made visible ON EBAY not on OFF-SITE PRIVATE FORUM WEBSITES FOR SELECT CLIENTELE.
I didn't realise ebay were dishing out contracts!!
Britauctions.com is not publicly known, so WHO are viewing these listings?...
06-12-2024 4:10 PM
Your listings ARE visible on eBay
They are just more expensive than other sellers items, so buyer don't buy.
Nobody is buying your items as they can get it cheaper from other sellers
Britauctions is not a private site, it is open to everyone. Anyone can search the site, find your item, click the listing and then buy the item from YOU on eBay.
But they probably won't as they can find other listings cheaper than yours
06-12-2024 4:11 PM
An ebay manager told me that it can't be stopped....WHY?
Has my listing portfolio been 'contracted out' to OFF SITE PRIVATE WEBSITES FOR SELECT CLIENTS?...
Why are ebay paying affiliates....
So many UNANSWERED Questions!!
