Hi, hopefully somebody can help me with a problem I have encountered.
I have just sold an item on ebay, having not listed anything for a few years.
The sale has gone through, the item is delivered but the system is telling me I need to have a bank account with the same name as my seller name to withdraw the payment. The problem is my bank account is a joint bank account with my wife so it won't match up.
Any advice appreciated as there is £60 I could do with just sitting in limbo at present.

I share a joint bank account with my husband registered with ebay and have not had any problems.
The problem could be have you registered for managed payments?

Never had any problem with a joint account, It's just an account 2 people have control over. Just need to make sure if you are registered here as joe bloggs and your bank account is in the name of joe and joan bloggs that you register your bank account here as joe bloggs

I think yes I had no choice but to select manage payments. It was very odd as it seemed to think I was a new seller, even though have been on here for years under this same user name buying and selling.

Hi browdav_luxppzsme, thanks for your post.
Just to confirm the about, joint bank accounts should be ok. If you are having issues, it might be related to a mismatch on the names. If this is the case, make sure that your name on eBay matches your name on the joint account and that will fix it for you. If after this you keep running into the same issue, I'd suggest contacting our customer service team here, so they can look into it for you to tell you what's happening there and how to fix it.
Thank you,
Marco
