Again no correct answers - yet Ebay are still forcing incorrect postage options for you

I asked the question a week ago in the community forum:

1 Simple question:

Now we have Simple delivery

And its not fit for purpose!

When are we going to have the correct postage options - so we can give the consumer the correct options regards Postage?

All supposed to be done in April - its now nearly July - and its still not correct or fit for purpose.

There are too many complaints on the message boards and nothing seems to be done regards it.

Can we have a simple answer to the above.

The answer was we do not know when or if any changes are being made.

As SD is not fit for purpose - and people are getting overcharged on postage - and some cannot even send thier items in the correct manner - due to INCORRECT SIMPLE DELIVERY.

It was being rolled out in Febuary - its now July and its still not fit for pupose  - pleople have complained - comlained and complianed about this - and again Ebay have taken no notice regards this.

SD is not fit for purpose - untill it gets sorted - it needs to be stopped and but back to the postage options we had before - if some of the prices have gone up then so be it - BUT MAKE SIMPLE DLIVERY FIT FOR PURPOSE and roll it out correctly when all the correct postage sizes have been implamented and not just - oh this will do.

I see so many complaints - yet what are ebay doing about it?

I know - we will get back to you when we have an answer - I could be under some roses when we have the answer!

Some one should have the answer - or have they been fired? Because they should be, its a complete and utter mess.

Firstly Simple Delivery is only for Private Sellers who don't have "Consumers."  Comsumers have rights when buying from a business that private individuals engaged in a trade between themselves don't.

Yes, some Buyers are being over-charged but some are also being under-charged — several of mine have been for sure.  Over- or under- they are paying the price they agreed to when they made the purchase/placed their bid.

That isn't to say that Simple Delivery doesn't need improvement as it's poor for very small items and impossible for very large ones.

I pop to the post office today because I sold 8 audio books but the "simple delivery" label said it would only cost £1.03 to delivery?

The people at the post office pointed out that was indeed the incorrect postage cost and attempted they'd had problems all day thanks to eBay changes.
