Acknowledgement by EBay of long term Selling

How about some form of recognition for private sellers who have used ebay for many years?  In June 2024 I reached the 25 year milestone - selling since 1999 - with an unblemished record  and still going !  It would be nice for people like me to have that record acknowledged. What do fellow sellers think ? What about it Ebay?

Oh dear - I didn't realise that such an innocent post would generate negative comments.  I should have realised that it would generate the hostility normally associated with Facebook and X. I might be wrong but I think the-layer-laboratory meant the comment tongue in cheek. 

It would be nice to have some recognition for long standing loyalty to ebay, but I think the best you would get would be a badge or something similar.  Maybe this could show on your account like the top rated seller badge does.

There are some on this board that can always think of negative comments about private sellers.  Although there are a few experienced sellers who still try to help anyone with a problem and a few more who remember what a "discussion" means and try to conduct one.

Sadly these days this board, all too often only has one topic and too many who come here are only interested in that topic being discussed.

Lighten up everybody. My comment was indeed 'tongue-in-cheek'. Any criticism in my post is clearly aimed directly at ebay and the recent lack of sales on the platform.

You already get that recognition.  Just phone up CS.  You'll be greeted with an obsequious spiel about being a valued customer of so many years.  Revel in its warmth as the script goes on to deny you have a problem, that even if you do have a problem it will be solved by the back office, and that you'll get a call back to tell you of progress.

You want even more recognition than that?

My only excuse is that the expectation of negativity towards private sellers is becoming ingrained as there is a lot of it about.

I should also like to add my congrats to the OP, you certainly deserve some form of recognition for sticking with it so long. 

Is my memory playing tricks on me by remembering a congratulatory message from ebay when I reached ten years of selling?

For twenty-five they should send you a Harrods van with a bottle of bubbly!!!

What a " novel" idea!

I had to check on the  word "sales"  in the dictionary just  to see if the meaning had changed by any chance.

Times are indeed more difficult, especially navigating the platform with all the new implementations.

I  imagine even the eskimos are rejecting snow.
