I have 12.5% Promoted ad fees that get charged only when an item sells. I was shocked when a buyer bought 7 items from that one listing and I get charged 7 x 12.5% ! Surely this can't be correct
At the risk of sounding a little pedantic, that's not how percentages work. Your promoted listing fee is 12.5% of the entire sale (7 units). Even if they had purchased 7 different items, you would pay 12.5% of the whole sale.
Hi, I got charged even though the person returned the bag. I took the return even though I didn’t have to and then was shocked to find eBay kept this ad fee which I didn’t even know I’d activated. I am not hiding behind ignorance but I can’t see how they keep a fee for promoting an item which hasn’t actually sold. I paid £68 just for it to sit on EBay 🤷♀️
