I am a very infrequent seller, and have never sold porcelain before. I am about to list this B&G Landmarks of Copenhagen set, which as far as I know and can see, has never been used. (My Dad brought it back from a business trip to Copenhagen.) Should I describe it was New or Used? I think there used to be a category 'New - other' but this doesn't seem to exist any more, at least not in this category. Also, would people advise me to set a 'Buy now' or 'Make offer' price? As I am not sure about its value, I am reluctant to do that. Thanks for any help with this.

If your dad bought them then they're secondhand used but you can say they haven't actually been used in your description. If you're not sure of value I would use auction but make your start price the minimum you will accept.

Looks like you have a valuable set there!
I put into eBay search the description of your set, a few sets came up mainly from the States and a 40 piece set listed for around £450 but with a hefty postage charge, and of course there would be custom duties.
Personally, I would list your set as suggested for the minimum amount you are happy to receive in an auction format, as then, you cannot receive less, and if only one bid is placed, you would have achieved the price you wanted.
I would also list it as Collection only, in my humble opinion, it's far to delicate to trust the ' gentle' handling of couriers!
If it does sell and as a Collection item, after purchase and payment you can exchange contact details for collection, but send the buyer a polite message to bring along the 6 digit Collection code, that the item cannot be released without this.
Once scanned or manually entered this is your only proof the item was collected, I would also enter it in the presence of the buyer, to make sure it's entered correctly, showing collection.
Good luck with the sale, it's a truly beautiful item, it will be a lucky winner !
