what does everyone think about the new e-bay postage system!!!!!

you can't choose your own courier, and have to use there *bleep* one, also you can't add on packaging costs. this is unacceptable????????

Most people posting here thinks it’s pants as is the delivery of it on users for a whole variety of reasons

not all of it is pants granted but a lot of it and the most important parts of it 

But anyway you can change your postage settings to delete the courier you don’t like

I have used it a few times, and it's worked fine. Didn't think it would work for me, but so far it has.

You can opt out of RM or Evri (you have to keep one) here:

Or you can do it when you listing the item - this will save as default. You can't pick Evri for one and RM for another.

I think if you take a look at the other mega thread that's been going since the 31st March from rugbyguy1960 ("No longer selling due to Simple Delivery") that will give you your answer as to what a great number of private sellers think of Simple Delivery.   😉

Absolutely hate the new (Not) Simple Delivery!! However I have just scheduled a few listings to go live this evening and when listing I was able to click on Advanced Options (in the postage/delivery section)  this then allowed me to select custom postage so I had my own choice instead of simple delivery.  Whether or not eBay changes this once the items are live is yet to be seen)  Hopefully not.

Hate the new  postage system. Why didn't they just leave a system that worked fine? I'll be looking for an alternative platform. I don't feel Ebay has my back.

I agree that the choice of couriers is currently poor.  As Royal Mail is one that they do use I can see no reason not to include Registered/Special Delivery/Guaranteed or whatever it's called this week.

As for packaging costs they can easily be added to the item price.  If you want £5 for something and it'll cost £1 to pack list it at £6.
