Why is Simple Delivery for Private Sellers incredibly unhelpful and restricting?

So yeah, the pathetic Simple Delivery is extremely poor, sell 2 items, create one postage label and the other items is left hanging because it is not possible to mark as despatched or even add a simple tracking number!!!

So I now have a RED warning for an item that was despatched with other item.
I spoke to Ebay agent and was advised this was to be fixed, HARDLY!!!!

Seems to me that I will now charge the buyer for each postage by creating a postage label and pack items separately so I get a courier scan and the items marked as despatched and non of the RED highlighted *bleep* that it has not been posted!!!

There has been a ' bit of' an improvement with combining postage and Simple Delivery. 

If buyers place items into their basket first and then proceed to checkout postage is combined for them.

As many buyers and indeed sellers are unaware of this many sellers are now writing something like this on their listings ......

' I'm very happy to combine postage for my items but for this to be possible,  please place items into your basket first before proceeding to eBay checkout to pay,  postage then,  will be combined for you. '

Hi,

For some reason my message was not added on message 3.

my sister has been adding similar instruction on her adverts and her Buyer's have been getting combined postage.  I know as I packed 2 items together to send out to one of her buyers yesterday as she was away.

Read the 4 min article on ebay's Simple Delivery about halfway down it's shows you how to get a label refund on one label so put both items in the one box & manually put the same tracking  number of both items you sold or if you need a bigger/ heavier box  then cancel both labels & take your package to the post office or use parcel2go
