Right is there any way of opting out of this simple delivery, way to exspensive, & just post it the old way.

No.   You may be able to change a current listing to Custom Postage to buy your own but ebay are making Simple Delivery compulsory for all private seller listings next week and will be converting existing items over.    The only way out of it is to register on ebay as a business seller.

There is for some for now but not for long!

If you are still one of the lucky ones then try clicking in the Postage Section, onto Collection only then onto Postage Only and Custom Postage may appear.

Even if you do still have this option,  eBay are changing all  current listings,  slowly to Simple Delivery.

It is to become mandatory for Private Sellers,  seemingly from the 28th, whichever date is to be D Day,  it will be here soon !
