Royal Mail, receipts of return

I recently returned two items to 2 separate sellers. Royal Mail put both return references on the same receipt. This meant that only one reference was identified with one eBay return.  So that means that one return does not lead back to an eBay seller return.  
fortunately, the Royal Mail app registers the two returns.  In future, should I return two items to 2 separate sellers I will request two separate receipts.

It is the tracking details rather than the receipt that counts, the receipt just says you piad for something not that you actually dispatched it the tracking soes that.

Yes, I'm aware of that, although if two returns are placed on one receipt, only one of the returns are noted by eBay as being returned

There should be 2 different tracking numbers on that receipt

I do know that the post office cannot issue one tracking number for different addresses.

So should be 2 on the receipt your problem is working out which one is for which address.

If your saying they have not put a tracking number on the receipt then that would be a problem.

what postage method did you use.
