I always package fragile items really well, strong boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper and 'fragile tape'
Buyer says two items which were parts of a tea set are chipped. All items were wrapped separately and put in shoeboxes within a large box. Two cups now have chips on them, but I cannot see how they could have rubbed against anything. I know how I placed the cups and where the damage is doesn't correlate with any placement,
Buyer has claimed a whole refund in saying they weren't delivered.
There was buyer protection and simple postage. It doesn't seem fair that I neither have the items, nor the money, whereas the buyer has everything.
Any thoughts or experience on similar please?

If the buyer opens a "not received" or "damaged" case ebay will issue the refund and you keep the payment.

Why would Ebay issue a full refund if a buyer were to claim non receipt if tracking shows as "delivered".
Doesn't make sense to me.Opens many doors for buyer to get a refund ???.

For peace of mind, I tend to take Buyers and Sellers at their word. But in this instance with the double boxing and bubblewrap I would be suspicious that the Buyer had purchased replacement cups for damaged ones and was sending photos of the old ones. But again for peace of mind I would try to let it go because Simple Delivery refunds them, protects you from feedback, and you keep the money from the sale. Life is too short!
