Getting paid

I really need eBay to cough up and pay me. It’s been well over a week that items have been received and they left positive feedback for items.  2 weeks over since I sold the items.  Tracking was added on the day of dispatch. Everything done by the book but  still  no funds. It’s nearly £200 I’m owed, I’m not a business, just selling items to pay bills. No phone number to contact eBay and no relevant question it int. Q&A section 🤷🏽‍♀️

Getting paid

I can’t see that’ll help…I’ve done chat several times now and they won’t pay out until 14 days after an item is sold unless their tracking/Royal Mail tracking confirms it’s been delivered.

useless system now. I’m looking for a new platform to sell…any ideas?

Getting paid

The situation seems to be that you send something by a tracked service. It is marked as delivered, buyer leaves positive feed back and two days later the money owed to you shows as a balance.

That backs up their claim of sellers getting paid two days after delivery. Ebay community Mentors will also make this claim as they are in the business of being mouth pieces for Ebay.

HOWEVER THAT BALANCE WILL NOT BE AN AVAILABLE BALANCE FOR TWO WEEKS.

That's the bottom line and every seller should have proof of payments not being made available for 2 weeks regardless of what Ebay or Mentors say. And regardless of whether ,like me a seller has paid out for fully tracked postage.

What makes this even worse is when you contact Ebay Customer Services it's almost impossible to get them to understand that there's a balance showing it is just not an available balance.

It is just blatant deception pure and simple and it must surely be illegal to claim sellers will get paid in 2 days after delivery but then not actually pay until 2 weeks later.

It does not matter is an order is delivered or not they still will not pay for 2 weeks.

They have 2 versions of a sellers balance - Balance 1 will show payments 2 days after delivery.

On your sales history it will say something like "available in Ebay Balance 27th Feb" as in my case for an item sent tracked post and delivered on the 25th Feb.

However above balance there is a big blue box which shows available balance and your sales money will not show there for 2 weeks no matter how you have sent the order.

No seller gets paid 2 days after delivery - it is just not true.

What they are actually doing is giving something similar to an I.O.U they say this is the money you have made from sales £XX.XX. We admit we owe you this money but it will be two weeks before we give you the money we owe you.

It's not big,It's not clever,It's not right and it's tantamount to day light robbery.

See the example in the attached picture.
