Funds Pending

Hi everyone,

I've been selling for a few years but had to take a break since November until last week. I've sold a couple of items and noticed that I now have to wait for payment until my item has been delivered.

Now not only that but I've had an item delivered today and my payment is still pending until 21st April! It says

"Funds pending – in eBay balance 21 Apr"

Does anyone know if this is now the new "normal" or is it because I've just started back selling?

I also have to ask (beg!) for my money whereas last year I had it automatically get transferred to my bank everyday - can I opt for automatic deposits?

Thanks!

That is the new normal from February. Simple Delivery is being done at the moment. eBay dictating postage costs.

How is this acceptable.

I had two items sent with tracked delivery, both delivered yesterday, showing as being delivered, on the 22nd and I have to wait another two days for ebay to provide me with the money for these items. How?

I sympathise and nobody really likes the payment delays.

However, it is acceptable because it is part of the User Agreement which you accept by selling on the site.

If you sold items through a 'bricks and mortar' auction house, you would probably have to wait 5-8 weeks after the sale date for payment.
