Having ‘given up’ selling on Ebay in Feb 2025 due to the stupidity of HQ Rules and a long running withholding my funds battle, i’ve just started reselling again and sold two items and HQ have withheld my funds ‘yet again’ because i require the two micro deposits into my bank account to allow my bank account to be verified. I have two bank accounts within the same banking family! I feel targeted and incriminated every time i try and do anything now. I sell personal belongings because of divorce and i now no longer work due to being my 90 year old mum’s carer. (We live together). I feel violated by Ebay just because i haven’t had a salary in three years, i feel they are punishing me at every turn. Their timing is ‘lousy’, always Dec when you need cash the most. I have no credit cards etc.
I doubt complaining to the Financial Ombudsman would get me any help either due to the rules and regs that Ebay have sellers adhere to.
I am so sickened more by the fact that Ebay & Paypal went their separate ways, as it used to work brilliantly when you needed fast cash. Now its an ‘evil’ set up to gain monies and interest for themselves. I seriously hope they go bankrupt eventually after the pain & stress they have caused me.
