Different editions and value

Hi all!

Im looking to complete my own collection, but I am of course always on the lookout for bargains. Got a trading spot here in Norway that sells panini from time to time, and often they either value their albums way low, or ridiculously high. For instance I was trying to buy spain 82 complete in exellent condition, and I bid £ 80, since he seemed to know his stuff, he told me it was way to low, and that he was looking for £ 2500! I told him good luck with that.

But my question is, does scandinavian albums (language in norwegian, swedish, dansish and so on) have less value than the international ones? I bought my munchen 74 complete for £ 75,and the condition is ok, but the language is danish, and the paper seems different, like realy thick, it was printed for panini by a danish company back in the day.  Also got an euro 92 for £ 1, incomplete with a swedish cover thats quite different to the original int edition.Think I did a bargain, but not sure if it is worth filling up the 92 album, since the cover is different.

And finally one last question. World cup 78 complete in fairly good condition, any ideas of the value.

Hope some of you panini veterans can give me some helpfull info on this:)

To be honest the Scandinavian versions of Panini albums tend to not come up that often on Ebay. I think I have pictures of them all but have seen very few for real.

To me, that makes the albums rare and more valuable but some collectors might not be interested in buying due to them being only interested in the original international format.

As for £2500 I nearly spat my coffee out. £100 for a complete and near mint condition Spain 82 album would be the most I would pay but you never know who is out there looking for what.

A fairly good condition album for Argentina 78 would fetch in my opinion about £110 but depends on the condition.

If you ever come across EMPTY good condition scandinavian albums for Euro and World Cup conditions I will pay a good price.

Cheers pete

Most albums that come from my own collection are in Norwegian, they look the same as the int versions, but the language is different and maybe some slight variatons to the covers and inside, but then you have the euro 92 in swedish wich has a completely different look on the outside, but the same inside.I attached a picture of the cover here.

The 74 album got me a bit irritated. thought I did a the bargain of the century, but the internal pages werent that good, and less detailed. But its still a complete album with mint stickers stuck into it that Im going to keep for my own collection, since didnt have it before.

Yeah, the spain 82 guy was totally lost, I tried to reason with him, and showed him links to ebay auctions to show him how wrong he was, but he never answered back:)

I will keep my eyes out for any empty albums, I will get in contact if theres anything I think you might be interested in.
