trying to get a refund

I received goods that were not to my liking. I contacted the seller who wanted me to accept £5 and keep the item I refused after a few more attempts I went to the pay pal complaints for help. They opened the case. I told the seller this and hey ho they agreed a full refund and still keep the item I told pay pal and they closed the case. The seller instructedme to click on return item and then changed my mind to recieve the refund but when I do this E-bay j says sorry something went wrong....and sends me back to the previous page. Any advice please.

Once you have used a PayPal case you cannot ask eBay for help.

eBay case first then if need be PayPal case, but not the other way round.

The seller obviously knows the system and they have cheated you.

As advised, if you open a case with Paypal, you cannot open a case with Ebay afterwards.

Never close a case until you are completely satisfied and have been refunded.

You could always try to sell the item yourself to recoup at least some of your money.
