simple delivery wrong charge

i have sold something and the simple delivery charge probably wont cover the cost to ship the item as its just outside the weight limit on that delivery service. can i change the amount charged to my buyer so the delivery cost will cover the weight or should i just post using the labels ebay sent me. ebay do not seem to want to help!! seems lots of people are having problems with "not so simple " delivery.

Simple Delivery only approximates the weight, so it's supposed to be OK if the item weighs more than it says on the label.  However parcels are still refused so it's best to cancel/refund the transaction with the buyer's agreement (via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list) and relist with correct postage for the buyer to buy and pay again.

SD labels cannot be topped up.   The alternative would be to buy and pay for the full correct postage yourself.

You can't ask the buyer for more money, and if it's the wheels and the postage is way out then that could cause a problem.

How much will it cost to send them? You may have to end up footing the postage cost yourself.

Many thanks for the reply. i dont sell much on here and have sold nothing since "NOT" simple delivery been introduced. I have had a couple of very good responses from the" ebay community". its a shame ebay and its AI  B.S. was not more helpful.
