Hello everyone. I sold an item on 6th April, the buyer paid by Paypal and the payment was put on hold fpr 21 days by ebay. The reason given was that therte was not an address or delivery details in the advert(?? It said Buyer collects, I didn't think we should ever put addresses). To have the hold removed I had to supply either tracking from delivery or get positive feedback from the buyer. The buyer collected it himself, so I asked him for feedback, which of course was positive, but the Hold has not been removed. I can wait tuntil the 27th (ie the 21 days hold) but now am being invoiced for ebay's 10% commission, ie £13, which I wouyld pay out of the payment in Paypal if it was not on hold. Can I wait until it is released?
Secondly the payment in Paypal on hold is not for the full amount of £130 that the buyer paid, it is for £125.93 and £4.07 has already been taken for 'fees'. All my listings were/ are free but commission to be paid on selling so what is this amount of £4.07 for??
Please help, I am losing faith in the ebay system!!
PayPal take 2.9% + £0.30 pence immediately for processing payments ... then eBay invoice for 10% of sale price including any postages at beginning or middle of the monthly billing cycle (up to a max. £250.00 for a single item) ... Items for collection ... best if you are offered and accept Cash on inspection/collection = No payment Holds/PayPal fees or later disputes >>

Edit to add > Standard procedure for new, returning/occasional sellers and Payments without tracking/delivery confirmation may be subject to a 21 day hold as per this policy ... see the options/methods that you can use to release the funds earlier >>
