I bought an item but immediately knew I’d made a mistake and tried to cancel but no response. I then reached out to ask where I could collect from but again absolutely no response now I’m thinking it was a scam

If the seller doesn't get in touch, then you can open an 'item not received' case after a week.

I know it's a pain but at least you should get your money back.
