ring pearl found to be loose

I sent a 2nd hand ring which was as seen without noticeable defects. Buyer has washed in warm water and one of the seed pearls dropped out and split. should I offer a return as Im not sure how it was handled? She is taking it to a jewellers for a repair quote.

If the buyer opens a return case, you will be able to offer a partial refund, maybe to cover the cost of the repair?

Otherwise, Ebay would expect you to accept the return and refund the buyer.

Gently cleaning a ring, even a vintage item, should not result in gems falling out and splitting.
