Sent item back by Royal mail Company insist I provide a tracking number  Problem is I have mislaid receipt with number on

Did you open a case through ebay and use the label ebay would have provided through the case?

Did you pay for the postage label with a Payment Provider (there would be a reference number on your records that you can ask the Royal Mail for the related Tracking number.

Without proof of delivery seller will not be obliged to refund.

When doing anything on ebay it is always worth checking up the correct procedure is followed as otherwise it can prove expensive.
