possible scammed by buyer

First time seller here. I sold a very valuable grade 10 Pokémon card and sent it 23rd March. the buyer has marked it as not received on 26th March(today) after Royal Mail saying it has been delivered since 24th March. The tracking number shows proof of delivery and a signature but buyer claims to not have the item.  They ordered premium next day delivery by 1pm and were not home when the item was supposedly delivered. I have my receipt from posting and the tracking number as proof i sent the item. I'm worried they are trying to get back their money while having received the item, especially as today would've been the day eBay release the funds to me.  If it isn't a scam, am I at risk of being held responsible if they cannot locate the item?

You have seller protection from a money back guarantee claim as long as you have tracked evidence of delivery to the address the buyer used at checkout.

So you will be covered.

Make sure you add the tracking to the case.
