not my photo on listing

I recently listed an item and had an offer. But when I re-checked my listing I noticed an extra photo after mine. I do not own this item, I have no photo of it to even upload, I have no clue where it came from (or when, as it was not on my initial listing). How is this possible? Any explanation as to how someone else's photo got into my listing? I could not delete the photo as the listing was locked because I had the offer. I was able to contact the buyer to explain and we went ahead. But it could easily have led to a misunderstanding.

I have seen the listing and have never heard of this happening before. As you say could cause a problem with a difficult buyer.

I can think of no explanation, and I doubt if you asked ebay the agent would not have a clue either.

I doubt it will happen again, but might be worth checking listings once active, just in case.
