item returned with simple delivery

Could someone advise me on what to do .

Had an item posted  to the buyer with simple delivery ( address and prepaid label provided by Ebay)

However,  after a delay due to "address query" with Evri, it seems the parcel will now be returned to me ( the seller).

What do I do next, as Ebay manages delivery?

If the buyer doesn't receive their item, they should open a case for item not received one day after the item's last estimated date for delivery.  Being a Simple Delivery transaction, eBay deal with the refund, and you keep the payout.

To be honest,  I do not know what happens if the item is returned to you, so you have the item and the payout and eBay have refunded the buyer,  seems like a loss of money here to eBay ? 🙄
