Hi people
i recently sold an iPhone and the buyer paid £126 I got £118 after the fees etc.
the buyer initially wanted to collect as was willing local but then asked me to send special delivery as they were heading back to Carlisle for work.
as such they sent a separate PayPal transaction for £6 to cover the postage cost.
text messages were exchanged and messages on eBay with the work address to send it to which I did.
Royal Mail delivered the item and took a photo of it on a desk.
since that date I’ve had no communication with the buyer, then a week later they have filed a complaint with their bank trying to recover the money stating that they don’t recognise the transaction!?
is there anyway that eBay can take the funds back off of me after transferring to my bank? Is there anything I can do to stun the phone as have the IMEI number too?
any help of support would be greatly appreciated as eBay won’t even block the account despite me saying that i believe it to be a fraudulent account if she has filed a unrecognisable transaction!?

Ebay will only support you if you can prove delivery to the address shown in order details. The only way you can win a payment dispute/chargeback where the seller claims not to recognise the transaction is by having tracking that proves delivery to the address used by the buyer at checkout.
There is no way the buyer should have had your phone number - text messages off Ebay can't be used as evidence of the buyer's intention to deceive.
The money will be taken back from your bank account.
I am afraid you have lost the phone and your money.
I don't know if you can block the phone - this forum is for Ebay related questions.

Hi,
thank you for taking the time to reply. So we exchanged telephone numbers as was going to call to arrange collection. We exchanged messages via text and eBay which I’ve kept all of them. They requested the phone to be sent to their work address which was different to that of their one on eBay. Had no reason to disbelieve them and they sent a separate payment for the P&P. Oddly they have said they don’t recognise the phone payment but not disputing the P&P payment?? Hence why I think they are the correct person that has the phone but just trying to keep the phone and get their money back. I have submitted proof of posting and delivery to the address that they requested both via text and eBay messages.
