how to verify age?

Hi, Im 55 and trying to buy scissors for crafting. Its asking for age verification but not accepting a debit card . Ive used ebay for about 15 years, only using my debit card. I dont have a credit card, or time to  scroll through hours of information which is not relevant. 

   I get the importance of age verification for this item, but is my only option to shop elsewhere?

I'm afraid the only age verification proof eBay require,  is owning a credit card, as anyone of any age can own a debit card.

The workaround is to ask someone who has a credit card on their eBay account to buy this item for you, or if you still wish to buy the item from another online platform  you will need to find one which will accept another form of ID to verify your age.
