having to provide proof of ID again

I have this message on my selling account: "It looks like you need to provide more information to verify your account details. We need this before you can receive payouts from us. You can send us what we need by selecting the alert on your Seller Hub homepage or in My eBay." This appeared after I changed my address. I have sent a jpeg of my passport as proof of ID but my account is still flagged. How long does it take for eBay to accept my ID?

The message asks for 'more information'.

What does the alert on your seller page say?

Other members have reported that they have to supply information multiple times so see what Ebay are asking for.

It just asks for photo ID, either passport, driving licence or government ID card.

I've now managed to get hold of them via chat. They say that the ID should be verified and the message cleared by tomorrow. Perhaps they just needed that nudge to sort it out!

Yes, sometimes just reminding them that you are waiting for them to act does work.

Fingers crossed for you.
