fake and dangerous items being openly sold on ebay

I saw a seller who is selling cheap fake copies of Arai motorcycle helmets on ebay, which are quite obviously dangerous, so I did what I thought was the right and sensible thing, and tried to report it. But the reply came back, that their AI could not find any breaches of policy, and would take no further action.

WOW, what has happened to ebay? surely the last tiny remnants of any reputation that they had will soon be gone, and it will be us honest sellers who will ultimately suffer.

If it is a UK business seller, you could try reporting the seller to Trading Standards.

It might also be worth contacting the manufacturer.

Ebay won't act on a report from one person.

It's a Chinese company selling a (fake) Japanese branded product, but I understand that the main distributor in the U.K. had had the same reaction that I encountered.  There are things that I can ignore, but when it comes to selling sub standard motorcycle safety equipment, it really winds me up. especially as ebay seem to choose to ignore the practice.
