evri parcel sent through royal mail postbox

I accidentally sent an evri parcel through a royal mail postbox. I saw on other discussions that they will usually still deliver it but with a grey label. However, the buyer ordered for a collection in shop, not to their home, and theyve already cancelled the order. Is there anyway to get my item back?

A buyer can't cancel an order after you have posted it.

Have you refunded the buyer?

Ive accepted the refund already. They got in contact with me and requested a refund so I cancelled the order. They went to the shop to check today whether it had been delivered (I posted it on Monday) and said it wasnt there, and werent going to go back to the shop so requested a refund.

Without correct postage RM will charge excess fee.

I doubt shop will pay it, so as long as you put return address on, it should come back to you eventually.

Thanks for your replies! Unfortunately I did not have a return address. What should I do in that case?

You can't do anything.

Cancelling an order you had posted and refunding the buyer was an extremely silly thing to do.

The parcel will not come back to you.

If you are very lucky, it may be correctly delivered but I assume the buyer won't collect it and the shop will then dispose of it.

I think you have lost your item and your money.

Hopefully, it wasn't an expensive item and you have learned important lessons.

You should always put return address on.

Postcode and house number is sufficient.
