ebays new postage thing

On ebays info pages it states this: For an Evri parcel shop drop-off – up to 15kg, no side exceeding 120 cm in length and a volume no more than 245 cm. To calculate the volume, just add together the two shortest sides and multiply it by two. Then add the length.

If 245 cm volume is the limit, that is a parcel 10 cm x 10cm x 2.5 cm which is tiny!!!! This is what they are trying to tell me is the max size for a medium parcel upo to 15kg!!!

The staement is incorrect, even little me asking ChatGTB to check, says this statement is incorrect and does not calculate volume!

Ebay is a massive international company, does nobody check this stuff for them! iots s joke.

your maths are wrong, using the sizes you give 10+2.5x2=25 +10=35 nowhere near the 245 limit

A parcel 100x40x30 would be 240 so till within the 245 max

Sorry you are wrong, to calculate volume, (as you state in the wording), you x the 3 sides, not add them. Basic maths. You are calculating something else by adding the sides of a parcel. That's the perimeter.

Ebay is misqouting evri's size calculation.  They are using volume incorrectly when it's meant to be a total size instead.  It's typical of their poor communication.

Yes for a company of their size, its appalling and effecting their popularity massively. i know in my small circle, people are fed up and moving to vinted and others.

I never stated 'volume' in my reply.

I explained how the OP was not correctly calculating their figures using the Evri parcel size limits
