eBay not updating personal information

I've used the mobile ebay site via Google, then via Chrome then tried classic site on laptop, in an effort to update my phone number in my personal details section, each time over several attempts over the past week, "something went wrong, try again later". Then thought maybe I need to verify email, received a code to enter then received email from eBay to say I've updated my account but email in my personal details still showing not verified. I have 2 accounts and I had no problems updating new phone number or verifying email in one of them, so why not the other?

This is something which needs access to your account, and only Customer Services have this.

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I do recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
