Any ebay representatives reading this?
Don't usually have issues with the way ebay works, but with this, I do.
As a buyer and as a seller on ebay I have always found it odd that ebay chooses to indicate 'dispatched' when the seller generates a postage label. The item is not dispatched when a postage label is generated, it is dispatched when it is dispatched i.e., when the buyer hands it across the post office counter or whatever. It is disingenuous of ebay at best and deliberate deception at worst to place a 'dispatched' designation on a sold product at the point of postage label generation. ebay, please change this 'dispatched' label to 'postage label generated.' - It ain't that difficult to be straight with your buyers! The exact status of an item can always be discovered by the buyer by checking the tracking updates; nobody needs this misleading 'dispatched' label.
I am writing this now because the auto-generated (on purchase of a postage label) 'dispatched' designation on an item I have sold but not dispatched yet is adding confusion to a sale I have made because the buyer thinks it is already in the post when it is not.
