authenticity guarantee

My Omega watch advert didn't show the authenticity guarantee. How do I add it ?

Presumably it was below the value at which Authentication is used., if so it is not optional, you cannot add.

Your watch is advertised as collection only, which I would have thought was not allowed as Authentication starts at £1500, and no authenticator is going to collect it.

Only watches sold in the Wristwatches category for £1,500 or more are currently eligible. (Smart watches, pocket watches, watch parts and watch accessories are not currently eligible.)

I can't see no reason why your watch would be excluded, you'll need to contact eBay and ask them to take a look and see if they can spot the reason.

Hi, Watch is advertised as for collection only. Would not have thought that was possible.

It's not eligible because of the collection only on your listing.

The following items are not eligible for Authenticity Guarantee:

  1. Items not bearing the Authenticity Guarantee badge
  2. Wristwatches listed in categories not named above
  3. Miscategorised items, e.g. other types of watches such as smart watches, fitness trackers, pocket watches, jewellery or other items listed in the Wristwatches category.
  4. Customised wristwatches
  5. Engraved watches
  6. Items purchased using an offline payment method
  7. Listings that offer local pickup
  8. Items posted to P.O. Boxes
  9. Items listed by sellers who are not activated on eBay managed payments
  10. The optional Authenticity Guarantee add-on service is not available for eBay Live items.

Ineligible items will not be authenticated. More information about item eligibility may be found here.

TBH.

You are probably safer allowing only postage, as it will then go to authenticator and offer more protection from any case buyer may open.
