a seller will not give me a refund. e bay closed the return after i sent the item back.

this seller will not give me a refund. i sent the item back and two days later e bay closed the return. when i asked the seller for a refund he said i would get a refund when they received the item. they show me a receipt saying the item is still in shipment. but the receipt they are showing me is from the 10/10/2025 19 days ago. how can i get to speak to someone at e bay.

Before you call CS,  can we ascertain a few more details please.

 

Did you open a case for the return, were tracking numbers showing the item was returned?

 

Did you open the case in time,  that is,  within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery?  If opened later then the case was closed as you claimed too late with eBay,  and now you'll need to turn to your payment provider for help with your refund.

What was reason for return? You give so little information as if a return is done properly then buyer gets a refund.

 

Not as described return, seller provides and pays for return label, and once tracking shows  as delivered, if seller does not refund, then buyer escalates to ebay who will.

 

Change of mind return which includes Does not fit, if a private seller with no returns then any case automatically closes. If seller accepts return then buyer pays for tracked return postage and as before refunds on receipt otherwise buyer escalates.

 

Explain were you went wrong, as ebay always side with buyer,  so long as buyer follows correct procedure.
