Yodel not delivered parcel, refund query

Buyer has requested a return as item hasn't arrived. She said yodel aren't delivering anymore and has done a 2 hour round trip to collect but the queues are too long and wants a refund. Item was posted on 3rd Dec. Will it be returned to me after refunding?  Thanks in advance

When you say ' she went to collect'  does this mean there was an attempted delivery made? 

If so, then you will not have to refund and entering the tracking number into any case the buyer opens showing attempted delivery,  in eBay's eyes this is the same as delivery it will close in your favour.

Same if you posted to a Click and Collect spot and it shows it's been delivered there. 

She says,  Queues were too long she couldn't wait??  Her bad and her loss here!

Hello yodel isn't delivering anymore. I tried to collect parcel from the depot ( two hour round trip) but people there had been queuing for hours. Not worth it, I'd like a refund.

Just went on yodel app and estimated delivery is now 16th Dec 

Ebay estimated it around 23rd Dec

Item is only £2 but postage was £2.69

I cannot believe they made a 2 hour round trip and just because the queue was long they didn't wait?   It's Christmas time, patience is the key everywhere!   

They could then open a case for item not received one day after your item's last estimated date for delivery .

Your fight would then be with Yodel, hopefully, but no 100% guarantee,  if your address is on the back of the item,  it will be sent back to you.

I use a qr code printed in store to send item, so will the return address be in there? 

The new delivery date is the 16th to 23rd Dec so do I wait it out? 

Seems awful lot of  messing about. If I had driven an hour each way I would have waited too. But delivery was store to door and yodel haven't delivered it.

Today I have updated the tracking as required but buyer still requesting  the refund. 

"Buyer’s message: 'Hi I have the tracking details but Yodel is no longer delivering in my area so would like a refund'"

I think it's just going to be easier to refund as I only have until 19th Dec. No please or thank you I just noticed. 🙃

Unless you can prove delivery, you have to refund buyer.

Refunded buyer yesterday and she's now received her item. She wants to pay so is bank transfer OK?

Bank transfer is safe. 

Now you refunded, she can't pay through ebay again.
