Why am I being forced to accept Simple Delivery options when it's much cheaper for me to organise my own postage? An item is costing £12+ which I can get delivered for £3+... why can I not have an option!

SD is compulsory for most items sold by private sellers. The exceptions are set out in the guidance.

As in why did ebay introduce it?
Easy, it's a revenue generator for them.
