I wanted a tool for my garden, I saw what I wanted on what was purported to be an ebay site, oh how wrong can you get? I ordered what wanted , or I thought I did, and as it turns out this was a "guest site" looked like ebay but....the pictures of the goods were all rather small and close together it appears that I clicked on the wrong one, c'est la vie! the item arrived 2 days later, I opened it and it was not what I wanted or to my mind paid for!
I've now spent over 2 weeks trying to get a label to send it back, you'd think I was asking for the gold in the Bank of England! you see there is a slight problem, the seller was a "Guest Dealer" so they are not covered by standard Ebay practise and rules, what a pity they didn't display the fact on the"ebay" webpage. I'm now expected to pay for the return of the item and the "guest" is expected to reimburse me after they get it back, no I didn't fall off last year's Christmas tree! Ebay have admitted that the trader is based in China and are only allowed to trade in a certain way, but who actually enforces the rules? He who buys misrepresented goods, ok I know my eyesight isn't quite what it was 70 years ago but most ebay sites can be read without glasses! why is it that some who want to trade with ebay are getting away with breaking all the rules whilst us oldies get stitched up?

I have never heard of "Guest Dealer".
Unless you buy from ebay site, they won't help.
Is this guest dealer a new thing?
