USA buyer received item but it wasn't tracked and payment in escrow

A buyer in the US has received my item from the UK, but it wasn't tracked hence his payment remains in escrow.

What can I do to resolve this?

You can't do anything.  Your payment will be released according to Ebay's published terms.

That is not what you were told.

Ebay state that your money will be released 14 days after the transaction if there is no tracking.

Royal Mail's standard compensation is only £20.  I would suggest that you use a tracked service for anything that sells overseas for more than £10 in case the item doesn't arrive or arrives damaged.
